Albert Best (1917–1996) was a highly regarded Irish-born medium and spiritual healer. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he spent much of his life living in the Glasgow region of Scotland. He was recognised as one of the prominent mediums of the 20th century. He also taught at the Arthur Findlay College.
Albert was orphaned at a young age and was raised by his grandmother in Ireland, and he worked in a rope factory.
During World War II, Albert was severely wounded and taken by the Germans as a prisoner of war, and was later discharged on medical grounds. Upon returning home, he discovered his wife Rose and their three children had been killed during a bombing raid in Belfast.
Following his dedicated loss, Albert focused his life on mediumship, beginning his development at the Belfast Spiritualist Church. He was known as the uncle of football legend George Best.
His legacy was that the remainder of his life was spent providing comfort to the bereaved and the sick, conducting readings, and sharing healing energy across the globe.
In his life as a medium, Albert Best worked as a postman after the loss of his family in Scotland and credits his postal experience as ideal training for his mediumship, as delivering mail requires confirming special names, addresses, and details, a skill he used when delivering messages from the spirit world. A must-read for anyone interested in mediumship, spiritual healing, and the remarkable life of Albert Best. "The soul is eternal. Love is the thread that connects this world with the world of Spirit."
